Extremely Low Frequency Receiver |
Extremely Low Frequency Receiver ("Earth Receiver") for listening to atmospheric radio phenomena such as Sferics, Whistlers, Tweeks, Dawn Chorus, and Lightning effects. Receives the 500 Hz to 12 kHz ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) range. Works with any portable stereo headphones, or a speaker. An interesting science or experimental project. Kit includes case and hardware. Uses a 0.3 to 1 meter (12 to 30 inch) whip antenna, scanner or HT antenna, or use our NC1490 or NC1498 whip Antenna (sold separately) |

| Long Wave & LF-VLF Converter for SW Receivers |
Long Wave LF VLF Receiving Converter for 10 - 535 KHz reception. Enables LF & VLF reception on an HF receiver tuning the 4 MHz range. Xtal controlled, with high impedance active antenna input. Works with short vertical whip antenna 0.5 to 3 meters. Has DC power fed from coaxial cable via included DC Block assembly. Small size, die cast cases included. Can be externally mounted for lowest noise pickup. |

| Low Noise Active Antenna for 10 kHz to 30 MHz AM/SW application Enables good low noise radio reception in the VLF, LF, MF and HF (10 to 30,000 kHz) spectrum with a very small antenna about 1 meter in length. Useful where large outdoor antennas are not feasible or prohibited.. Has performance approximating a 25 to 50 ft. long wire antenna, but uses a vertical whip antenna 0.5 to 1.5 meters long. Often gives AM and Low Frequency reception superior to a 100 ft (30 meter) long wire antenna. Mounts in conventional PVC plastic pipe and is easily made completely weatherproof. Has built in Isolation choke balun for lowest noise pickup. DC power and signal fed via single CATV type 50 to 75 coaxial cable for a simple outdoor installation. Can feed several receivers using a splitter. Includes power supply transformer (120 V 60 Hz USA/Canada version only) and parts for DC block assembly. Easily disguised as a vent pipe or garden stake, etc. |
